Baby Dresses from Haifa, 1929 | فساتين أطفال من حيفا، 1929
Grateful to Olivia Bain (@livvylein) who shared and charted patterns based on her grandmother's dresses.
Olivia estimates that the dresses would have been worn in late 1929 or early 1930 and were created in 1929 in Haifa by her great grandmother or a female relative.The base fabric is very thin and feels like silk or possibly viscose. There are a few irregularities in some parts of the embroidery and the neckline is damaged. There is some white stitching around the basket motif that doesn't show up well in the photos but is reflected in the digitized file.
To make it easier to share the digitized pattern, we placed motifs on the sleeves and hem closer to the chest design but you can refer to the photographs for the original placement.
